We aim to make the process of adding a customised building to your outdoor space as smooth as possible. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of questions we’re commonly asked and their corresponding answers:
WHAT KIND OF GROUNDWORK IS REQUIRED FOR MY TIMBER FRAMED BUILDING?
For us to erect your bespoke outdoor space we require a suitable, level foundation with a 4” minimum depth. This can either be concrete or slabbed.
Please allow a 1ft space between the foundations and any trees, fences, bushes or any other obstacles.
Note: We cannot build on top of an uneven surface or a gravel/hardcore base.
DO I NEED TO TREAT MY TANALISED TIMBER?
We’d love for your outdoor space to remain as pristine as possible, and we’re sure you do too. The tanalised timber process will protect against both fungal and rot based attacks, however if you want to keep your building in tip-top condition, we recommend that you re-treat it on a regular basis.
If you do not treat your timber, your outdoor building may be exposed to adverse weather conditions and water ingress may occur.
HANDY AFTERCARE TIP!
When looking after your outdoor building, be sure to use an oil or solvent based weather proofing sealant and be sure to cover the exterior faces.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY OUTDOOR BUILDING?
- Ensure that an air gap is maintained under the base and around all sides; check on an annual basis to ensure that there is not a build-up of debris.
- The wood preservative paint will need re-coating every so often; this does depend on the prevailing weather conditions but should be carried out at least once every two years.
- A squirt of WD40 into the lock annually

DO YOU NEED SPECIAL ACCESS TO THE SITE?
For us to get the bits and pieces safely to the desired destination, we request a few simple access requirements.
- Minimum height clearance of 8’
- Minimum width clearance of 3ft (down side or rear of property)
- No tight angles or corners
If the only access is through your home then please let us know when you place your order with us and we’ll endeavour to find a simple and safe solution.
Note: We do not lift over walls, garages, fences or dwarf walls. If you wish to attempt this yourself then by all means do so. However, we cannot be held accountable for any damage to any of the products. If this does occur, then we will not be able to erect your building on that day and a surplus charge will be incurred.
WHERE DO YOU DELIVER TO?
ENGLAND AND WALES
If you’re situated in either England or Wales, we offer delivery straight to your home and promise to have your building completed from start to finish the very same day.
SCOTLAND, ISLE OF WIGHT, ISLE OF MANN, GUERNSEY AND JERSEY
If you’re a resident of Scotland, due to our location we are unable to reach your destination, build your outdoor space and return home in a single day. Because of this, an additional charge for travel and overnight accommodation will be negotiated into the price.
